Privacy Policy

Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how RetroGames PSP ("the App," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our Android application. We built RetroGames PSP so that browsing, downloading, and playing classic PSP games works fully on-device by default — accounts, cloud sync, and online features are optional and off unless you turn them on.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information We Collect
Advertising identifiers. The App shows ads through Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, rewarded, native, and app-open formats). To serve and measure these ads, AdMob collects your device's advertising ID and related app-interaction data.
App activity and diagnostics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage (for example, which screens are opened or whether a download completed successfully), and Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and diagnostic data so we can fix bugs. These tools also collect a device-level app instance identifier that is not tied to your name or email.
Account information (optional). Sign-in is not required to browse, download, or play. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier to create and manage your account.
Cloud save files (optional). If you turn on cloud save sync, your save-state files are uploaded to your own Google Drive, using access you explicitly grant. These files are stored in your personal Drive and are not accessible to us beyond what's needed to sync them on your request.
Purchase and subscription data. Subscriptions and one-time purchases (for example, removing ads) are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive purchase tokens and subscription status to unlock the correct features on your device; we do not receive or store your payment card details — Google handles all payment information directly.
Locally stored data. Your favorites, download history, downloaded game files, settings, and local save states are stored on your device. This information stays on your device unless you enable optional cloud sync.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not request or collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, videos, SMS/call logs, browsing history outside the App, or any government-issued identification. We do not knowingly collect more than what is described above.
How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App's features.
- Serve and measure ads, and personalize them where your device and region settings allow.
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- Create and manage your optional account, and sync optional cloud saves at your request.
- Process purchases and subscriptions, and unlock the features that come with them.
- Respond to support requests you send us directly.
Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, and App Check — analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and anti-abuse protection.
- Google Sign-In / Credential Manager — optional account authentication.
- Google Drive API — optional cloud save sync, to your own Drive storage.
- Google Play Billing — subscription and purchase processing.
Google AdMob is the only service to which we share data in a way that Google Play policy classifies as "shared with a third party." Firebase and Google Drive act as service providers processing data on our or your behalf, not as independent third parties we sell or share data with for their own purposes.
Data Security
All network traffic between the App and our backend, AdMob, Firebase, and Google Drive is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored data (favorites, downloads, settings, local save states) is removed automatically when you uninstall the App. If you created an optional account, you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below; we will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable time. Cloud save files stored in your own Google Drive remain under your control and can be deleted directly from Drive at any time.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, personalized advertising). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You can also manage advertising personalization directly through your device's ad settings, and manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
International Data Transfers
Our third-party service providers (Google AdMob, Firebase, Google Drive, Google Play Billing) may process and store information on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be highlighted within the App where practical. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
